Famously Hot New Year’s Eve on Main Street
If you’re looking for something fun to do on New Year’s Eve, join the festivities of Famously Hot New Year on Main Street in the heart of downtown (Main Street between Hampton and Taylor Streets). George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic will be headlining and there will be beer, wine, and champagne vendors, an ESPN Zone playing the college bowl games. Best of all, general admission is free! I haven’t attended an event quite like this, but it sounds like a lot of fun!
If you prefer VIP treament (I know I do!), purchase tickets for the Grey Goose Crescent Lounge. The Grey Goose Crescent Lounge is an exclusive area located right next to the stage. Gates open at 7:00 pm on December 31 st. There will be live music starting at 7:30pm by Terence Young and The Finesse Band (I’m a huge fan!), followed by Pinna at 8:20 pm and Josh Roberts and The Hinges at 9:30 pm. George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic will play two sets, one from 11:00 p.m. to 11:50 p.m. and a second set from 12:15 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
